EXPERIENCE THE BENEFITS OF A REGULAR YOGA PRACTICE
Mysore Yoga Cape Town is very excited to announce that we will now be starting an afternoon Ashtanga Yoga program at Yoga Body Space in the High Constantia Centre in Constantia, Cape Town. When practicing Ashtanga Yoga in the Mysore-style tradition learning and progressing is done at your own speed and capability. These classes are therefore open to all levels of students – from complete beginner to seasoned practitioners. You will always work directly with a qualified teacher in a group setting and grow your practice slowly and safely over a period of time. To celebrate we will run a special immersion month. Participants will be asked to:
– Commit to 3 to 5 classes per week for the month of September.
– Choose practice days and times that suit your schedule best.
– Participate in two workshops covering yoga philosophy and foundational tools of the practice.

Ashtanga Yoga Basics – SAT 27 AUG. 8:30-10:30am
We will discuss “How to practice” drawing inspiration from classical philosophy, and take an in depth look at “tristhana”, the three points of focus in the practice.
Alignment Principles – SAT 3 SEP. 8:30-10:30am
This workshop will focus on the concept of internal and external alignment in the body. We will go over some key postures to build awareness in the practice.
